My MA final project explores the quiet collapse of our assumed sense of order—the way daily routines, more than habits, embody a worldview that feels stable, rational, and given. Beneath this surface lies a fragile architecture, one that starts to misfire and unravel. Through fixed frames, distorted lines, and glitching loops, I visualize this breakdown—not as chaos, but as a moment where illusion falters, and something more raw and real slips through.

Overview

This project is a visual experiment explores the concept of “mismatch” and “daily perception”.Using fixed compositions and instruction-manual aesthetics, I explore how daily life—repeatedand regulated—can gradually erode one’s sense of subjectivity. Familiar objects and actions aredistorted, disordered, and deconstructed, revealing the tension between routine and alienationin today’s digital landscape and the impact of technology. The closing transition from “My” to“Your” to “Their” reframes a personal perspective into a collective reflection: whose daily lifeare we really living?

Process Book As my final project during my time at SCAD, I wanted to create something that genuinely reflects my personal voice. Throughout the process, my understanding of the core concept gradually deepened. As this understanding evolved, I shifted the visual direction of the project to better communicate the idea with clarity and precision.

I also incorporated AI tools to assist with ideation and to generate visual footage, integrating them meaningfully into the creative workflow. Below is a breakdown of the conceptual development, design decisions, and production process.
